While the National Library of Scotland is a reference-only library and doesn’t lend music, mass digitisation has seen the set up of ‘Special Collections of Printed Music’ on our Digital Gallery.
You can browse the different sections of this site or you can search for specific titles or composer’s names.
Over the past year we have also run a tweet thread of #musicathome on our Rare Books and Music twitter feed, with a selection of music to inspire users to download and try out music from our online collections. Why not have a look yourself and tweet your favourite selections on #makemusicdayuk today (Monday 21 June). You could even record your own performance and publish via social media.
View a performance of music from our collections via the Library YouTube channel.
